since 1999  Continuation as research fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute
1990 - 1994 Research fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute, Bendern. Research project: "History of the Principality of Liechtenstein from WWI to the Crisis of the 1920s (1926)" (Geschichte des Fürstentums Liechtenstein vom Ersten Weltkrieg bis zur Krise der Zwanzigerjahre" (1926)
1985 - 1990 Partially freed from teaching for research work ("Liechtenstein Military History from 1814-1849": "Liechtensteinische Militärgeschichte von 1814-1849")
