On 1 May 1995 Liechtenstein joined the European Economic Area (EEA). On the occasion of the anniversary of 25 years of membership in the European Economic Area, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs and Finance commissioned the Liechtenstein Institute to conduct a representative opinion survey on the attitudes of the Liechtenstein population toward the EEA. The survey builds on previous surveys conducted in Liechtenstein on the EEA. Similar surveys in Switzerland, the EU, and Liechtenstein's EEA/EFTA partners Norway and Iceland were also taken into account in the preparation of the questionnaire. The results of the survey will be presented in May 2020.
