On behalf of the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Liechtenstein Institute prepared a study on Islam in Liechtenstein in 2017. For this purpose, national and international research literature was reviewed, available statistical data and survey data were evaluated, and interviews were conducted with representatives of Muslim associations, with authorities and youth workers. In individual chapters, the study sheds light on Muslim immigration to Liechtenstein, provides an overview of the international state of research, systematically evaluates existing statistical data, outlines Muslim life in Liechtenstein, and also deals specifically with Islamic religious instruction, an Islamic burial site, and other current issues.
Project duration: 2016/2017
