Extensive renovation work at the Liechtenstein Institute
To reduce temperature fluctuations in the library, all window panes were replaced with solar control glass. The lighting was also converted to LED technology and roller blinds were installed to shade the windows in order to further regulate the room temperature. Furthermore, the entrances and exits were renovated and the south-facing windows were fitted with new wooden slats. The roof was given a new shingle covering made of larch wood. Windows that were not secure enough were fitted with laminated safety glass and safety fittings. Further fall protection measures were implemented for the railings, stairs and glass closures.
Librarian Rosmarie Lorenz accompanied the renovation work photographically and put together a presentation.
