In addition to the usual publications, studies/commissioned studies, presentations or media contributions, the economic and statistical expertise of the researchers in the Department of Economics is also frequently consulted in the form of regular assessments or case-by-case advice for the Liechtenstein government, public administration offices, the Financial Market Authority or international institutions. Examples of this include the annual discussions on country ratings (Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s), visits by the International Monetary Fund on the occasion of Liechtenstein’s accession negotiations, preparatory discussions for ministerial meetings, membership of the government's statistics commission and participation in the government working group on the labor shortage in Liechtenstein.
