Liechtenstein's unemployment rate is known to be at a low level. However, comparisons with other countries are only possible to a limited extent, since the officially published rate is not calculated on the basis of the unemployment rate according to the standard definition of the International Labor Organization (ILO). In the project, the unemployment rate of Liechtenstein is approximated from available data of the population statistics of the Office of Statistics and made comparable over a longer period of time by applying of structural break adjustments. The first results will be presented in LI Facts 2/2022. The unemployment rate will be updated annually, integrated into the Applied Economic Analysis database and made available to the public via the data pool.
Project duration: September to November 2022
