Vote on the repeal of the LRF Act - initial poll results available

30 Oct 2024 - Umfrage
Last Sunday, the Liechtenstein electorate voted on the repeal of the Liechtenstein Broadcasting Act. The bill was approved with 55.4%. The Liechtenstein Institute conducted an online survey in collaboration with the Liechtensteiner Vaterland to find out the reasons for approval or rejection. The first results of the survey on the vote are now available. They show that most of the arguments in favor, but also those against, received majority support.

The voting decision was therefore often a weighing up of different considerations. In fact, 58% of voters said that a Liechtenstein radio station was needed, but - as the "yes" motives make clear - not at the current price.
