Vote on the repeal of the LRF Act - detailed poll results available

On October 27, 2024, the Liechtenstein electorate voted on the repeal of the Liechtenstein Broadcasting Act. The bill was approved with 55.4%. The Liechtenstein Institute conducted an online survey in collaboration with the Liechtensteiner Vaterland to find out the reasons for approval or rejection. Detailed survey results are now available.
The results of the poll show that most of the pro arguments, but also most of the contra arguments, were supported by majorities. The voting decision was therefore often a weighing up of different considerations. In fact, 58 percent of voters said that a Liechtenstein radio station was needed, but - as the "yes" motives make clear - not at the proposed price.
