Survey on the vote on joining the International Monetary Fund (IMF) – survey results available
The recently published detailed analysis of the follow-up survey to the vote on IMF membership shows that the decision was not always easy for voters and that a comparatively large number only made up their minds during the course of the referendum campaign. The issue was complex, which is why an unusually high number of voters were guided by recommendations, particularly from the Princely House and the government. The supporters of the two main parties voted in favor of accession by a large majority or even overwhelmingly (VU), as did the FL sympathizers. The latter is remarkable in that the FL adopted a “no” position. The majority of DpL supporters, on the other hand, rejected accession.
