The Liechtenstein Institute has recently entered into a research partnership with the University of Opole (Poland). The current working title of the future cooperation, which is being funded through an EEA grant, is „European Integration challenged by the crisis“.
For the purpose of a preparatory visit, Dr. Rafal Riedel, research fellow at the University of Opole and project coordinator, visited the Liechtenstein Institute from 25 to 29 March 2013. During his five day visit, talks were held with his Liechtenstein counterpart, research associate Christian Frommelt, as well as with the director of the Liechtenstein Institute, Dr. Wilfried Marxer, and research fellow Andreas Brunhart.
The project’s aim is to focus on the economic crisis in Europe and its implications for the member states of the European Union, the Economic Areas as well as the surroundings of the single market.
