History of Law

Legal history examines the development of a legal system on the basis of legal sources, legal institutions and legal doctrines, whilst also taking into account the cultural and intellectual history of law. Legal history research at the Liechtenstein Institute follows a systematic approach, tracing the development of specific areas or individual aspects of national law.
