On the death of Thomas Bruha

25 Jul 2024 - Mitteilung
Thomas Bruha passed away on July 14, 2024 at the age of 79. He worked as a research fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute from 1987 to 1993. During his time in Liechtenstein, Bruha, an expert in international law, also worked as an advisor to the Liechtenstein government.

Thomas Bruha has given the Liechtenstein Institute important impulses with his knowledge and commitment. He established and shaped the Institute's focus on European law. Thomas Bruha did not limit his expertise to his own area; he maintained a lively exchange with the Institute's other specialist areas. He was also the initiator and director of various symposia at the Institute.

In his free time, he was an avid hiker in the mountains of Liechtenstein and the surrounding area in summer and winter.

Even years after his retirement from the Liechtenstein Institute, he maintained a friendly and interested relationship with the Institute and the Principality of Liechtenstein.

We will keep Thomas Bruha in honorable memory.
