Researching History - Communicationg History. Commemorative Publication for the 75th Birthday of Peter Geiger and Rupert Quaderer

With Rupert Quaderer and Peter Geiger, the commemorative publication pays tribute to two personalities who have significantly shaped Liechtenstein historical research in recent decades. In particular, their works on the turbulent times of the First World War and the 1920s and on the crisis and wartime period between 1928 and 1945 are milestones in Liechtenstein historiography. In addition, both honorary members of staff have been practicing their teaching profession for years with great joy and passion.

Researching history - communicating history: These are the two major, mutually complementary fields of activity of the honored. Against this background, the commemorative publication brings together contributions from 22 authors from the field of history and other disciplines such as political science, law and theology. Following on from the research of Peter Geiger and Rupert Quader, they illuminate various aspects of Liechtenstein history in the 19th and 20th centuries, address questions of history teaching, or generally address the role of historical studies and the humanities in politics and society.
