Inspired by the case study on Liechtenstein in the July 2019 study on state aid commissioned by the ESA (EFTA Surveillance Authority) "Study on private enforcement of state aid rules by national courts" (see Study on state aid in the EEA EFTA States), two further publications were produced.


On the one hand, Sarah Schirmer and Enya Steiner compiled the most recent State aid cases of the EFTA Court for the yearbook 2019 "State aid law" published in Austria.

 

On the other hand, Sarah Schirmer presented in the LJZ the law applicable to state aid in the EU and EEA with an analysis of the situation in Liechtenstein. In particular, Sarah Schirmer highlighted the role of national courts in the enforcement of state aid law.
