On behalf of the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Ministry of Infrastructure, Economy and Sports, the Liechtenstein Institute is preparing a study on public service companies assigned to the relevant ministry for 2017/2018. The study comprises four elements: brief portraits of the companies, guided interviews with business associations and interest groups, an online survey of the Liechtenstein population, and guided interviews with representatives of the companies.   

The goal is to find out about the fundamental acceptance of public enterprises in relation to the private sector from various perspectives, and to determine the strengths and weaknesses as well as the challenges of the individual enterprises. The seven companies involved are: Liechtenstein Power Plants, Liechtenstein Gas Supplies, Liechtenstein Post AG, Liechtenstein Broadcasting, Telecom Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein Transport Authority and Liechtenstein Marketing.

The study was completed and published in spring 2018.
