The study was carried out on behalf of the Commission for Equality between Women and Men. It was based, on the one hand, on a survey of the local party group chairmen and, on the other hand, on a written survey of all those who had been unsuccessfully asked by the parties to stand as candidates. The results are documented in Working Paper No. 31 of the Liechtenstein Institute (October 2011).
