In its foreign affairs and international development policy and programs, Canada has prioritised the protection and empowerment of women and girls, including through its strong leadership on maternal, newborn and child health, its active work to bring an end to child, early and forced marriage, and its promotion of women’s political and economic empowerment. The Ambassador of Canada to Switzerland and Liechtenstein will share details of Canada’s focus and approach.

Jennifer MacIntyre was appointed as Ambassador to the Swiss Federal Council with concurrent accreditation to the Principality of Liechtenstein in September 2013.
